Mentoring programme for the winners of the #GalileoGICkathon 2022
In December of last year, technical support for the development of their solution has been provided to the three winning teams of the #GalileoGICkathon 2022. Business support is yet to come!.
This was an online training to teach the ins and outs of building a space application business.
The goal of this technical mentoring programme was to present complex GNSS concepts and applications in a way that informs without overwhelming. By the end of the training, the three winning teams will understand the basics of GNSS and have a solid foundation for further study or application.
The training consisted of several modules: Introduction to GNSS, Precise positioning methods and Galileo and development of GNSS applications.
- In topic number 1 an overview of the main concepts and components of GNSS was offered. This high-level summary helped your understanding as we introduced GNSS in greater detail.
- Topic number 2 provided an overview of concepts to understand precise GNSS positioning.
- Topic 3 took a closer look at the Galileo system, the European GNSS and described how to add location awareness to your applications.
